Group Riding Lessons
(It's more than just riding!!)
Each two group lesson will consist of riding and horse management! You child will learn:
*How to safely approach, halter & lead a horse
*Safely groom and tack-up a horse
*Mount, dismount, walk, trot (and canter if ready)
*Beginning to jump (with ground poles and/or cavelletti)
*Fun gymkhana activities (pole bending, barrel racing)
*Yoga on horseback
Plus
*Basic horse anatomy & conformation
*Horse breeds and coloring
*First aid & how to take vital signs
*Common diseases & illness and how to prevent
*Feeding and stall care
*Parts of tack, both English & Western; care of tack
*Basic training; including lunge line
*Show preparation, including bathing & mane & tail braiding
*And much, much, more.....

Session I - Thursday Mornings 9 -11am
Session II - Saturday Mornings 8:30 -10:30am

| When you arrive for your private lesson, our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you along every step of the way. You will learn the proper way to approach and catch your horse, lead, groom and tack-up.
In the arena, you will learn to ride with a centered and balanced seat that prepares you to ride safely and confidently in any riding style you choose.

So we've partnered with several, local equestrian centers to be sure your journey to your riding dreams and aspiration (yours or your child's) is safe, fun and technically correct.
Kids Horsin' Around is proud to announce our partnership with local hunter, jumper & superb equitation barn Chestnut Hills Equestrian Center. When we feel we've brought you as far as we can and you've expressed an interest in hunter/jumpers, let us escort you to your next level of riding!! We want you to succeed in your riding dreams!!!
We've check them out, and they are the best! We wouldn't send you any other place!!

Personal, individualized riding lessons are available on both an hourly or monthly basis. Choose a single lesson for just $45 per hour or 4 lessons per month for $130 and save! Each rider's skill is carefully assessed and horses are selected by those abilities and age.

Rates are per month based on one lesson per week. Payment is due first lesson in each month, otherwise rates revert to per lesson basis. Missed lessons may be made-up provided a 24 hour notice was given and must be made-up in the month they were missed.
